Heavyweight Tee · 220 gsm

Measurements are taken flat, on the garment, in centimetres — not from a size chart we copied.

Size and fit

Measure the shirt you own

Every figure below is the garment, not a body. Compare it with something you already wear and like.

Garment measurements, full circumference (cm)
Size Chest Length Sleeve Shoulder
S 98 69 20 44
M 104 71 21 46
L 112 73 22 48
XL 120 75 23 50

The garment measured flat and doubled: the full chest of the garment, not of a body. If you publish pit-to-pit figures instead, double them before entering them here or the finder will recommend a size too small.

The cloth

Three fabrics, weighed and named

Weight in grams is the only honest way to compare a t-shirt. Here is ours.

    14 oz selvedge denim

    14 oz / 475 gsm

    Kaihara, Hiroshima

Woven on shuttle looms, so the edge finishes itself. Stiff for a month, then it starts to keep the shape of whoever is wearing it.

Cold wash inside out, hang dry. Expect fading at the knees and back pocket first.

    240 gsm ring-spun cotton

    240 gsm

    Karachi, Pakistan

Heavy enough to hold a shape through the shoulders and not go transparent after a summer.

Cold machine wash, hang dry. Up to 3% shrinkage in length on the first wash.

    Lambswool rib

    380 gsm

    Todd & Duncan, Scotland

Spun from lambswool rather than recycled blend, so it pills less and holds the rib.

Hand wash cool or dry clean. Dry flat, never on a hanger.

Made in

The factory has a name

A label that says Made in Pakistan tells you almost nothing. This is the unit, the mill and the fibre — the things that decide how a garment lasts.

The specification

Cut and sewn Lahore, Pakistan, 40-person unit
Fabric Kaihara denim, Japan; jersey knitted in Karachi
Fibre content 100% cotton, no elastane
Audit Not yet third-party audited — we say so rather than imply it

Details are for the current run. A new mill or a new unit gets a new note.

How it is made

Cut in runs of two hundred, measured flat

Every garment on this site was measured on a table, not a model. Chest, length, sleeve and shoulder are printed beside the size, so you compare them with a shirt you already own instead of guessing.

  • Fabric weight in grams on every product page
  • Sewn in one unit we can name, in Lahore
  • Measured flat, to the centimetre
  • Free size exchange, once per order

Wash and care

Cold, inside out, hang dry

Most returns in this category are a wash, not a fit. Three rules and the cloth outlives the trend.

  1. Cold, inside out

With like colours, on a short cycle

Hot water is what takes the colour, not time.
  2. Hang dry

On a line or flat, never a hanger for knitwear

A tumble dryer is where the 3% shrinkage happens.
  3. Iron inside out

Medium, no steam on the print

Or do not iron it. Heavy cotton drops its creases on its own.

Shrinkage figures are from our own wash tests on the current run.

Questions

The things people ask before ordering

Demo photograph of a morning regulated goods routine
Which size should I take?

Lay a shirt you like flat and measure across the chest, then match that number to the chart on the product page. Between sizes, take the larger one — every piece is cut to shrink under 3% in length after the first wash.

Will it shrink?

Under 3% in length after the first cold wash, which the size chart already allows for. Hot washes and tumble dryers take it further. Wash dark denim inside out, on its own, for the first two washes.

How do I read the mill certificate?

The mill certificate names the mill, the fibre content and the finished fabric weight. If the number on the certificate and the number on our product page ever disagree, the certificate wins and we correct the page.

What is your returns policy?

60 days, unworn with the tag on. One free size exchange per order — we pay the courier both ways. Refunds go back to the original payment method within five working days.
